Jamie and Darcel's Elegant Wedding at Airlie

Jamie and Darcel's love story begins with Jamie's friend Charlie inviting him over to build an aircraft together. Lucas, new to the neighborhood, also loves airplanes and was introduced to Jamie through Charlie. Shortly after, Charlie was in attendance at Lucas' military retirement party, where Darcel, a fellow Marine Corps service member, met Charlie. A plan was later concocted by Charlie and Lucas, and a secret blind date was set up between Jamie and Darcel, disguised as a hangout with Lucas. Jamie, believing Darcel was a man's name, walked right by Darcel at her table and sat at the bar with Lucas for the evening. Lucas, reeling over his failed attempt, tried one more time to set them up on a date, and Jamie was immediately smitten with Darcel.
Shortly after the couple began dating, Charlie joked that he would officiate their wedding, and now years later, he has been dubbed "Pope Charlie" in honor of him officiating. Jamie and Darcel held their celebration at Airlie, a stunning venue located in Northern Virginia that's tucked away in a rural area of Fauquier County. Darcel included her 4 children in the wedding processional by having her daughter as the flower girl, and her 3 triplet sons took turns escorting her down the aisle. The wedding day was celebrated alongside many of their friends and family and overall a beautiful and memorable event.
