Thomas and Annie's Jewel Tone Wedding Day in the Mountains of Harper's Ferry

Photography by Aaron May Photography
Annie grew up in the beautiful mountains of Harpers Ferry and moved abroad to France for her studies. There, she met Thomas and decided to permanently stay in France to be with him. Once engaged, Annie envisioned bringing her loved ones together to celebrate in her hometown.
Annie's father is an artist who designed their jewel-toned wedding day based on the couple's interests to honor both French and American culture, and additionally took time to write all the stationery in both languages. French wine was imported from their local region to serve alongside American beer, and an "Appalachian" themed dinner was served. Bluegrass music was played throughout the evening by the live band, The Plate Scrapers, and the couple substituted a cake-cutting ceremony for a pie-cutting ceremony.
