Dating apps continue to be a great tool in finding your soulmate. In this newlywed's love story, Erick "DM'd" Rebecca on Hinge, "Do you want to go do something spontaneous?" in which Rebecca left him on read. Erick didn't give up there, and a few days later, he messaged her, "What's up?", which led to their first date at the Mosaic Restaurant. Several dates later, Erick confessed his love to Rebecca during a Cinco De Mayo celebration, and the couple tied the knot 8 years later.
Erick and Rebecca decided on Birkby House in Leesburg (Northern Virginia) because it's an intimate setting in the heart of the town. The historic house has multiple rooms for the wedding party members to get ready for the wedding day, and the ground floor has many large rooms for smaller events. The patio in the center of the grounds is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hour, and the newly built white conservatory is an elegant and upscale space for the wedding reception.
Rebecca envisioned an elegant wedding featuring neutral tones with pops of pink and an abundance of candles. Some unique decor items that the newlyweds incorporated into the wedding day include a custom figurine of their dog Koda to stand beside the wedding cake, and the couple's love story on signs displayed at cocktail hour. The entire wedding day went off without a hitch, and the couple and their beloved guests greatly enjoyed the event!
